Duke of Edinburgh Award
We offer the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze and Silver Awards as extra-curricular activities. Our Year 10 students have the opportunity to achieve the Bronze Award and Year 12 students can complete their Silver Award.
For the young people who take part each year, the benefits of achieving a Duke of Edinburgh Award at any level are endless. The Duke of Edinburgh Awards are about helping young people along the path to a productive and prosperous future - for many it is simply life-changing.
Achieving a Bronze or Silver Award ward will allow students to develop their confidence and resilience; these can boost their mental health and wellbeing and help them face and overcome personal challenges. They can also develop skills such as communication, commitment, leadership and teamwork.
Students also have the opportunity to make a difference to other people’s lives and our community, be fitter and healthier, make new friends and make memories to last a lifetime.
The aims of the Duke of Edinburgh programme align to the school's key messages and our school motto.
