We're delighted to announce our Spring Term House Reading Champions who are pictured above after proudly collecting their prizes, certificates and badges: Kara 7S, Harshini 7T, Thomas 9M, Natalia 8T and Muhammad 7U. Really well done all!

After a very busy term for the library, literacy and reading at UGS, and a fantastic week of World Book Day celebrations, it is lovely to recognise the students who have consistently read an impressively high number of books throughout this term from the shelves of our libraries and our digital platform; and all those students who have participated in our House reading challenges and library events.

We look forward to a new reading challenge next term and of taking delivery of the brand new titles that we were able to purchase following the success of our recent World Book Day Fair and with the support of our whole school community.

And after enjoying a special World Book Day visit from author Sue Cunningham, we are now also keenly anticipating welcoming Daniel Dockery next term. Watch this space for more details after the break!
