geographers visit iceland

Day one of a fantastic trip to Iceland for our Geography students!

Yesterday, a cohort of our Year 11 and Sixth Form geographers jetted out of Manchester ...

For an exploratory visit to the stunningly scenic and, of course, geologically-rich Iceland.

After arriving at Keflavik International airport, they wasted no time in beginning to explore.

And to study the awe-inspiring environment and its sights, as you can see.

They took in Gunnuhhver ...

Reykjanesviti and Valahnukur.

Before settling into their accommodation and enjoying a fantastic evening meal.

We look forward to sharing more news as they continue their trip. Watch this space!

With huge thanks to the Geography department for arranging this wonderful opportunity for our students, to all the accompanying staff, and to Mr Neale for the photography!
