science club rockets ahead

In an exciting finale to half term, at lunchtime today, Year 7 Science Club were excited to enjoy some hands-on learning while exploring the wonders of Pop Rockets!

The students were equipped with canisters, water, Alka-Seltzer tablets ... and safety goggles of course!

They got to experiment and to stand back and witness the magical fusion of Physics and Chemistry in action, as their special compound fired their rockets into orbit ... well into the air of S7 anyhow!

Another great fun workshop that got our Year 7 scientists thinking about chemical reactions.
