First of special assemblies for Year 11 as they approach their GCSE exams
This morning, we launched the first in our main series of success assemblies for Year 11 that will continue each week as we approach the Summer exams. The aim is to encourage our students to:
a) try new ideas to help them find the most effective and efficient methods for them
b) try to maintain a regular regime of revision which will hopefully help to mitigate the stresses as we get closer to the exams.
This week our focus is on 'blurting': a simple technique that allows students to test and audit their own knowledge, celebrate successes, and to identify gaps/misconceptions.
This week's success task will support their preparation for the RE exam in the upcoming mocks. Students have all been given the resources that they need, and the information is on Satchel One to remind them. We encourage our Year 11 students to try these tasks by Monday next week.
