celebrating our winning writers

Delighted to announce the winners of our Library House Christmas Creative Writing competition!

Earlier this month, we invited our students to be inspired by the spirit of the season, and by masters of the Christmas story genre like Dickens, to put pen to paper to create their very own tale that chimed with the key festive themes of love, charity, community, family and friendship.

As ever, our student scribes did not disappoint, and we were truly impressed by the breadth and quality of submissions; all entries demonstrated not only great writing skills, but a depth of imagination, and the tales were impressively charming, poignant, and, in some cases, hilariously funny with a lovely twist.

It was a tough call, but after some deliberation, we decided on our winners:

Harshini 7T (pictured above furthest to the right): The Christmas Miracle of Pinewood Village

Lillian 8R: Elara's Story

Amy 7R (pictured first on the left): Goodwill

Toby 7U (pictured in the middle) : Christmas Mayhem

Our runners up:

Brooke 7M (4th on left), Arwan 7R (2nd on left) and Thomas 9M

Really well done all, we could not be more proud, and we look forward to sharing the winning entries in the next edition of Perspectives!
