year 13 celebration of achievement

As we approach the end not only of a busy and productive term but of a hard-working year for our fantastic Year 13 cohort, Head of Year Mr Neale and Head of Sixth Form Miss Lingwood were delighted this morning to organise a special celebratory assembly.

There were awards and recognition for the students who have been commended by teaching departments for their consistently outstanding Approach to Learning (lead picture); and there were awards for those who had made excellent progress:

There were nominations from both Form Tutors and from Mr Neale (centre) for students who had impressed staff not only academically but with their community efforts:

And a special Head of Sixth Form award for George and Lola, pictured below with Miss Lingwood:

Mr Neale shared his delight in the huge number of house-points awarded to the year group in 2024 - an amazing 4057 - and as he reflected sadly that Year 13 has only one term left at UGS, he looked forward to an equally strong start to 2025; and we know that they will take this momentum forward and progress still further towards success and the fulfilment of their goals.

Really well done all, and we look forward to sharing updates on their progress next year.
