year 7 festive books quiz

At lunchtime today we were delighted to host a special Library House event for Year 7.

Yes, it was time to get bookishly festive, and for students from Year 7 to pit their wits on the many tales that are fantastically festively themed.

From classics by Charles Dickens and Louisa May Alcott.

To short tales, including my personal favourite, O. Henry's poignant Gift of the Magi.

To those that inspired movies and TV, such as Chris Van Allsburg's The Polar Express and Raymond Briggs's The Snowman.

There were edible treats and Christmas tunes, and we can't wait to verify the marks and announce our winners in due course.
