proud to support mission christmas

Please help us get behind this fantastic cause!

As a school community, we will this year again be proudly supporting the Mission Christmas Toy Appeal.

Assistant Head Mrs Rogers shares details of how we can all get involved:

"As in previous years, we will be proudly supporting the Mission Christmas initiative to help provide Christmas gifts for the considerable number of children living in poverty in the Greater Manchester area.  By encouraging our students to contribute to this worthy cause, we are able to reinforce our school values of Pride, Participation and Empathy.

Please consider the following if you are able to donate a toy:

  • gifts must be brought into school on Friday 13th December (students will be informed on the day where they should bring their toy during registration time). Please do not send toys in before this date, as it is difficult to store them.
  • toys must be new and in the original packaging – please do not gift wrap the article, as Mission Christmas volunteers will need to allocate the gifts to the appropriate age group once received by the sorting depot.
  • gifts do not need to be expensive – something small and simple is perfectly acceptable and very gratefully received.
  • please do not send food/perishable items.
  • the age groups most in need of gifts are babies and teenagers. These age groups are often not as popular in terms of the types of gifts usually donated.

If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you very much for supporting us".
