so proud of year 11 eva
Lovely news on Eva's determined success in equestrian competition
We are delighted to share news about Year 11 Eva, pictured above, who, in an amazing achievement, recently qualified and competed in the Stars Champion of Champions riding show, held at Aintree International Equestrian Centre.
It is all the more remarkable as Eva has overcome some significant physical challenges over the last few years, and was only able to resume horse-riding, her life-long passion, just over a year ago, while continuing rehabilitation and gradually building up strength.
Eva returned to horse riding by participating in a series of local riding shows at Bucklow Trafford Riding Club, before qualifying for the Star Champion of Champions. This is a prestigious competition where all the winners in each class from each riding club compete against each other to find an overall champion in that class.
Eva qualified for the Ridden Veterans Final and the Ridden Show Pony final on 23rd November, and she was thrilled to participate, thoroughly enjoying the experience, although it was understandably quite nerve-wracking to compete at such a big event.
Eva scored marks that placed her at 25th in the UK nationally in the Ridden Show Pony Event, a superb achievement!
As Head Mrs Wall observes: "Eva has shown courage, determination and resilience – characteristics that are so important when we face challenges. We are so proud of Eva – what an inspiring role model for us all"!
We wish Eva the very best for the future; with huge thanks to Eva and family for sharing this wonderful news and photograph with us.
