During lunchtime today, UGS Chess Club lead Mrs Chadwick organised a special event for our keen players, and was delighted to welcome visiting speaker Mark Davis from Urmston Chess Club.

Mark delivered an interactive session on end game strategy:

As Mrs Chadwick shares: "Students benefitted greatly from Mark's insight, and went on to try out some of their new moves in practice games, with guidance and tips from Mark.

Urmston Chess Club is located right next to school, so anyone who would like to play more chess should consider going along - details are on the flyer issued today and below.
