science club is back
Year 7 Science Club makes a forensic return for the new academic year!
Our fantastic Year 7 Science Club, enthusiastically supported by our brand new Year 8 Science ambassadors, relaunched during lunchtime today, and will meet every Monday moving forward.
The first students to arrive in the lab are pictured above, primed to get fully forensically investigative under the expert tutelage of Mrs Walsh and Dr Bethell.
This month, Science Club will, as ever, get hands on learning, and enjoy trialling a variety of Forensic Science techniques.
The specific theme for today was FINGERPRINTS.
Our team of scientists were tasked with exploring the patterns of both their own and others: right loop, left loop, whorl, arch, or trained arch?
All fascinating stuff, and a really inspiring, fun and engaging way of learning about science in action.
We can't wait to share updates about all that Science Club gets up to, with huge thanks to Mrs Walsh and Dr Bethell for organising this great extracurricular opportunity for Year 7.
