year 12 activities afternoon

A fun afternoon for Year 12 as the year draws to an end!

While it might be a crucial game for England tonight, this afternoon at UGS there was plenty of friendly competition for Year 12 as they rounded off their year of Wednesday afternoon electives with a session of fun activities organised by the Senior Prefect Team and supported by Head of Year Mr Neale, who is pictured below briefing the students on our front field as the afternoon began.

It was a great opportunity for the whole cohort to come together for some r&r after all their hard work this year, and the conclusion of their mock exams and work experience week.

Activities organised included:

Tag Rugby (in our lead picture & below):

Penalty Shoot Out:

Scavenger Hunt, seen being launched by Lead Prefect Emilia below:

As well as:

Dizzy Penalties

Egg and Spoon Race

3 Legged Race

Ultimate Frisbee

Relays

Basketball

It was great to see the sense of community demonstrated by the students as they all joined in, and a lovely way to spend their last Wednesday afternoon together as Year 12.

Really well done all! And also to:

Our Year 12 Rounders Society (pictured above), who today played in their inaugural match against Wellington school!

Also taking place for Year 12 today: a further Personal Statement writing workshop, led by Miss Hammond, to support, develop and strengthen their applications to University.
