year 7 awards

I have never been more proud: Head of Year Miss Harding leads a celebratory awards ceremony!

Following yesterday evening's Celebration of Achievement, this morning it was time for individual KS3 end-of-year recognitions of achievement.

While Year 8 and 9 received their awards at special assemblies taking place in the Sports Hall, in our Main Hall, Head of Year Miss Harding led a celebration and recognition of achievement for Year 7, joined by their proud form tutors.

As Miss Harding told Year 7, over the year they have achieved so much in a short space of time, all while managing the change and challenges of starting at a new school, and the first phase of further education, and they should all be so proud of how they have managed the year.

Year 7 have both participated and had real success in a great many areas since they joined us in September, most recently at Sports Day, in supporting charity events, and through the outstanding level of support and help they contributed to both Open Evening, and to the Year 6 Induction Evening and Visiting Day.

On both occasions, they were not only a huge help to staff and to visitors, but they were fantastic ambassadors for our school; and in fact, as Miss Harding says, they have stood out as one of the best Year 7 cohorts for this.

As Miss Harding concluded, the Year 7 reports that she has just overseen are also a testimony to their fantastic first year with us, and they end the year on a real high, with so much to look forward in Year 8, where we know that they will progress and build upon all that they have learnt, achieved, and indeed contributed so far on their UGS journey.

Really well done Year 7! With huge thanks to Miss Harding, to the Year 7 form tutors, and to all the staff who support our fantastic students.
