year 8 at parc asterix

It's another day in the French capital for our Year 8 MFL students, and having already toured the Eiffel Tower, cruised on the Seine, been up Montparnasse Tower, and taken in a wealth of history at the city's museums yesterday, today they are enriching their linguistic experience with a visit to the famous Parc Asterix!

Around 40 minutes from Paris, the theme park was inspired by the comic book series Asterix, and is a hugely popular attraction.

It is famed for its huge amount of rollercoasters, that are based on a variety of cultures, such as Ancient Greece and Rome, as well as on the characters and stories of the comic books.

As you can see from our lead picture and as Miss Lowe observes, some colourful characters will be joining the group on their return coach trip home!
