extracurricular outdoor volleyball launches!
First session for Year 7 & 8 after school today!
As we have been proud to share, UGS has enjoyed huge success in Volleyball recently, with both our U15 and U18 teams having taken the crown in national championships.
Today, Mr Hines and Mr Ainsworth have launched the start of after-school extracurricular volleyball sessions for our students, beginning with Year 7 & 8, who, as you can see, were making the most of their practice in the afternoon sunshine.
As per information circulated to students:
Outdoor Volleyball sessions will run as follows:
Monday 3.15 to 4.30 Yr 7, 8, 9 & 10
Tuesday 3.15 to 4.30 Yr 7, 8, 9 & 10
Thursday 3.15 to 4.30 Yr 7, 8, 9 & 10
Friday 3.15 to 4.30 Yr 7 & 8 only
These are school sessions and are free. Sessions will be cancelled if it is bad weather, and students will be notified by school email.
Urmston Grammar Volleyball club will be running sessions from 4.30 to 6.30 on Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays. These sessions are not school sessions, they are club sessions & any player wanting to stay for these sessions will need to either already be a full member of Urmston Grammar Volleyball club, or parents & carers will need to complete a Guest Registration form and register on the Spond app, then join our Outdoor Volleyball group.
There is a cost for the club sessions (this 1st week is free).
