great new resources thanks to our pta

We are delighted to announce that we have taken delivery of a fantastic new range of books, the acquisition of which has been supported by our wonderful PTA.

Pictured above and below are some of the students who were keen to be the first to make their selection from the new range as it began to arrive, with more still to come!

The titles comprise fiction and non-fiction titles that have been inspired by recent initiatives in school, and that have also been nominated by departments as valuable resources to support, extend and enrich curriculum studies, proactive learning, and wider reading.

Some titles were suggested by both students and staff during our recent celebration of International Women's Day, and others were nominated for World Book Night, when the UGS community shared the books that they would be reading that night, and that they would highly recommend to others to enjoy.

We are therefore delighted that the PTA supported us in acquiring the reading recommendations that were not available in our Library, and facilitated not only a further enrichment of our students' reading journeys, but a response to our student voice and their active participation in our whole school initiatives.

With huge thanks to the PTA, and we look forward to seeing our students benefitting from the availability of these fantastic new resources!
