matthew's swimming success

We're really proud to share news about talented swimmer Matthew 8T, who, in an amazing achievement, has won a whole series of medals in competitive swimming with Trafford Metro and in the County of Salford, and is pictured proudly sporting his dazzling array of gold and silverware!

This weekend he won not one but 4 medals, and last weekend he won 3!

Listed below is just some of his medal haul so far:

Gold:

50m Freestyle

50m Breaststroke

50m Butterfly

50m Backstroke

100m Backstroke

100m IM (all 4 strokes)

200m IM

Silver:

100m Freestyle

100m Breaststroke

Matthew has been a keen swimmer since the age of 3 and has been competing with Trafford Metro Club over the last year, training 4 times a week at their base at Sale Leisure Centre, often before putting in a full school day!

And in fantastic news, he has qualified for the Cheshire County Trials that will take place in April 2024.
