cooper's hockey success

We are proud to report that, in an amazing achievement, Cooper, after 3 days of rigorous trials, has just been selected for U12 Greater Manchester County Hockey, which means that he will be attending their academy for the next 6 months and playing in County tournaments across the UK.

Cooper has been playing hockey for the last 8 years and started out with Urmston Hockey Club. He moved to Bowdon Hockey Club around 4 years ago, keen to compete in more tournaments, and he progressed to their Year 7 A Team, initially mainly playing centre forward.

However, over the last week, Cooper has been repositioned as Centre Back as this really plays to his strengths, and no doubt it was these strengths that stood out and helped him to achieve this amazing selection for the Academy!

Cooper can't wait to start training with them and competing in tournaments in the County League, and we wish him the very best of luck.
