ambitions take flight

Our students take part in a fantastic aviation & engineering opportunity!

We're delighted to share news that 2 of our students - Year 10 Zakariya and Year 12 Evie (pictured above) - have embarked upon a 10-month engineering programme: Fantasy Wings, with a view to potentially entering the aviation sector, or working in the commercial airline industry in the future.

The programme consists of workshops, expert-led conferences, mentoring, and real-life flight simulations.  It takes place every third Saturday morning in Manchester city centre, with one lucky person selected for a real-life flight course for FREE at the end of the programme.

Evie says: 'I want to join the RAF in the future and this is a fantastic opportunity for me to find out what the aviation industry is actually like'.

Similarly, Zakariya has always been fascinated by aircraft, and has been impressed with the first few sessions: "The lead instructor told us about his journey into the aviation industry, and it really inspired me to work hard and to try my best to follow in his footsteps - I'm looking forward to the next session'.

Really good luck both, and we look forward to updating you on their progress.

With huge thanks to Zakariya, family and Evie for sharing this great news with us.
