Our wellbeing ambassadors develop their peer support leadership skills

UGS Wellbeing Coordinator Dr Zebedee was recently delighted to arrange a visit to Wirral Grammar School for Boys for our wellbeing ambassadors.

They were invited by WGSB to take a look at how their award-winning mental health team MINDS helps students in their school with mental health and wellbeing.

MINDS is a peer support team run by students for students, and our ambassadors had a fantastic day learning about how the MINDS team supports students with their mental health and wellbeing at WGSB, and our students took away a great deal that they look forward to building upon at UGS.

Our ambassadors have already implemented a wellbeing space with access to mindful activities in the Reading Room, and we look forward to sharing updates on all that they achieve moving forward.

With huge thanks to Dr Zebedee and Mrs Woodcock for accompanying our students on the visit and to the fantastic team at WGSB for an invaluable day of learning.
