Special ISOC and TARA fund-raising event & celebration of world foods

ISOC and TARA collaborated today in organising a very special lunchtime event for our school community: a cultural food festival.

It was fantastic to see so many of our staff and students turn out in support and join together to enjoy all that was on offer in aid of a very good cause, and we have just heard that the event has raised a phenomenal £600 for charity.

We could not be more proud of the world-spanning range and quantity of food and drinks prepared by our ISOC and TARA members and their families.

And it was an amazing way to share, showcase, celebrate, and represent the culture and cuisine of our diverse community.

There was also henna hand-painting on offer from our talented ambassadors, and a prize tombola.

A very special moment in the UGS calendar, with huge thanks to all our hard-working ISOC and TARA students, and to all the students and staff who contributed and turned out to show their support.

Today's event forms part of ISOC's charity week, that began yesterday with a special meeting, and will continue for the next two days with charity dodgeball and football tournaments in aid of Islamic Relief:

Really well done all!
