idl success for year 8 leo

Huge congratulations to Leo for outstanding engagement with our IDL programme!

As we approach the end of year, Mr Panter is delighted to announce that Leo 8S has been chosen as this term's IDL champion, for demonstrating the highest level of active engagement and participation in the IDL programme, and he is pictured this morning awarding a delighted Leo his winner's prize.

Really well done Leo, we could not be more proud!

Here Mr Panter tells us more about the programme and Leo's success:

IDL is advanced computer-based system designed to supplement and enhance students' academic abilities, encompassing various components targeting spelling, handwriting, vocabulary, and comprehension skills.

The recent campaign at Urmston Grammar aimed to encourage students to engage actively with the IDL programme in order to win a prize. With a reminder suggesting a minimum dedication of 10 minutes daily, and an optimal recommendation of three to five sessions per week, students were motivated to consistently utilise IDL to witness tangible progress in their literacy skills.

Amongst the participants, Leo emerged as the winner for the most engagement with IDL. His commitment and consistent involvement in the programme showcased an active approach towards enhancing his literacy skills.

The initiative not only incentivised students with the prospect of winning a gift voucher, but also emphasised the crucial link between active engagement and educational growth.

By actively participating in the IDL programme, students not only improve their chances of winning rewards, but also significantly enhance their educational journey.

Congratulations to Leo and to all participants for their dedication and commitment to enhancing their literacy skills through IDL at Urmston Grammar!
