play in a day!

We are transported to the Athenian forest for our production of A Midsummer's Night's Dream!

While the course of true love never did run smooth for the lovers in the Bard's famous play, that is not the case for the performance of our students in their inspired Play in a Day interpretative production of A Midsummer's Night's Dream.

In our lead picture, they can be seen enthusiastically wrapping their final run through before the show tonight, and in final rehearsals above and below.

After hours of dedicated preparation, and skilful direction from Mrs Glen, ably assisted by Miss Hammond and the technical skills of Mr Harrison ...

Our performing arts students were primed to deliver this iconic tale of love, misadventure, and a little bit of fairy magic ...

Accompanied by an eclectic musical score, ranging from Leftfield, to the classical.

The performance captured the spirit of the drama in miniature, with conflict ...

Action, romance, laughter, and mischief, served up in spades.

The energy of all involved was palpable, and it made the audience experience all the more wonderful.

Sadly, all good things must come to an end, as it was finally time for "good night unto you all" from Puck and the ensemble.

But before the end of term, there's still so much more to look forward to from our Performing Arts department, including Friday's Year 9 Battle of the Bands, and the forthcoming Performing Arts Evening on 15th July.

We really cannot wait!

With huge thanks to our multi-talented students, and to Mrs Glen, Miss Hammond, and Mr Harrison for all their hard work supporting and directing the students in this amazing production!
