We are delighted to share news about the phenomenal success of Bolton Wanderers FC Girls U15, who our very own UGS student Ruby 10U (pictured below & in team shots) plays for in Left Wing.

Ruby has been playing football since she was 2, and was with Manchester United RTC before joining Bolton Wanderer's; we are also fortunate that she has contributed her talent and football prowess to our own team.

Last weekend, Bolton Wanderers travelled to Barcelona for the Championship Cup.

They competed against teams from England, France, Spain and Germany, and in a truly phenomenal achievement, they won every single match, scoring 29 goals.

They conceded ZERO, with the outcome that they were crowned well-deserved Champions.

Huge, huge congratulations to all!

This was Ruby's last formal event with Bolton Wanderers as next season - from 8th July 2024 - she will join Liverpool FC Women.

As Ruby's family are delighted to share: "It was a hugely successful trip, and an amazing experience that will last long in the memory ... and Ruby is proud to represent UGS".

A few weeks ago, Ruby also played with the Greater Manchester County Schools team, and they triumphed in the Northern Counties Schools Cup.

Really, really well done all, you are an inspiration!
