supporting mental health awareness week

Our school community is proud to support Mental Health Awareness week & Meaningful May

It is Mental Health Awareness Week, and to support this and raise awareness amongst our whole school community, our Student Well-Being co-ordinator Dr Zebedee, and Head of Sixth Form Miss Lingwood, have organised a week long programme of focused form time initiatives for our students to participate in.

These are centred around the core theme of Mental Health Awareness Week for this year: Movement, and the positive, enriching benefits of either physical or mindful movement in any form, or of any level of intensity; and around daily calendar events of Action for Happiness.

Each day, the students will have access to resources that promote mindfulness, and to Meaningful May's daily suggestions for action for happiness; resources that encourage our students to think about the core themes, "with a view to making positive changes towards their mental health, and hopefully that of friends and family".
